Another Good Run for Josh at Black Rock

Saturday May 7, the team made the trip to Black Rock Speedway for the URC/ESS/Patriots challenge race.  With 34 cars on hand, the night was started off with time trials.  Josh timed fourth quickest out of his time trial group of nine cars, starting him in the fourth position in the heat race event.  By the end of the ten lap heat race event, Josh found himself in the first place collecting his first heat win of the 2011 season.  To set the line up for the feature, the top eight drivers in points from the heat race events were taken to the front stretch to redraw for the feature line up.  Josh drew the number two pill, starting him in the second position. 
In the feature event, Josh hung onto the second place position at the drop of the green flag.  About halfway through the event Josh was in a battle with the third place car, but this battle soon would become a battle for first as the top three hit lapped traffic on the small track.  As lapped traffic and some red and yellow flags played out, Josh was credited with a third place finish when the race was said and done.
