Lincoln Equals Josh’s Third Top Ten in a Row

Saturday nights event at Lincoln Speedway saw twenty-five 360/358’s in attendance.  The night’s event started off with time trials in which Josh timed twelfth out of the twenty-five cars.  This gave him the third starting position in his heat race event.  At the drop of the green, Josh got off to a great start and grabbed the first place position by the end of the second turn.  After Josh gained control of the race, he never looked back once again winning with a half of straight away lead over the second place car.

Because the race was set up by times, the feature lineup went back to these times to set the line up.  Josh started the feature in the tenth position, and with being on the outside did not have a great start on the rubbered down track.  Josh dropped back to about the twelfth position, but was able to hang on and race his way back up to ninth, after which he and the tenth place car ensued in a cat and mouse race.  With the track being so slick, as soon as an error was made on the drivers part, the driver following him had to capitalize.  Josh bobbled a bit coming off the second turn and the tenth place car was able to get past Josh for ninth, about five laps after he had done the same thing for Josh to get by him.  The race went nonstop and Josh was able to hang on to the tenth place position when the checkered flag flew at the end of the race.
