Two Race Weekend in Delaware Nets Two Top Five Finishes

Saturday night Josh was once again at Delaware International, where he has had three top five finishes and four top tens in four races. In the heat race event Josh started fourth and was able to pass two cars to finish in second place, giving him a fifth place starting spot for the feature.
In the feature Josh had found his was up to the third spot, but a late race altercation with the fourth place driver resulting in contact between the two, slowed Josh down allowing the fourth and fifth place drivers to get past Josh. He was able to regain control of the car coming off turn four (the incident happened on the last lap coming out of turn 2) and crossed the line in fifth. This gave Josh is fourth top five at Delmar this year.
Sunday night Josh started the heat race once again in the fourth position, but tonight he was able to go all the way and win the heat race event, giving him a third place starting spot in the feature event. On the start of the feature, Josh was able to grab the second place position, but with the leader having a great start, Josh was playing catch up even after the first lap. Sometime around the halfway mark Josh’s front nose wing collapsed making the car a little harder to handle around the race track. Josh still caught the leader in traffic, coming off of turn four on lap seventeen, the leaders rear tire blew giving Josh the lead. However, being out in the clean air did not help Josh’s nose wing situation. He was able to hold onto the lead until lap 23 when the second place car made a move and was able to get by Josh for the win. Josh however did hold on for a second place finish.
