Josh Completes another Two Race Weekend
Delmar, DE (8/4/2007) . . .
Josh and the team made the trip back to Williams Grove Speedway Friday night, to complete the remainder of the June 8, 2007 rain out. Josh was slated to start 5th in the fifth heat, as calculated by his 10th place time, but because of the no-show of some other competitors Josh started 4th in the fourth heat. Josh was able to get a good start and moved up to the third position by the end of the heat race. Since Josh finished within the top five, he was given his time back for the feature event. With some other cars not qualifying in the invert and/or not showing for the race, Josh started 7th in the feature event. Josh had the car off to a great start and continued to grow momentum throughout the first part of the race. Unfortunately a bleeder in the left rear tire was stuck closed and the tire grew too big for Josh to be as competitive as he was at the start of the race. Josh however did hang on for a 12th place finish.
Saturday afternoon, the team made the drive from Williams Grove to Delaware International. Being back in the invert with URC, Josh started 3rd in the first heat race. Josh got off to a good start and was up to 2nd within a few laps. The race ended with Josh in the 2nd position, but he had made up significant ground on the leader of the heat. The feature brought a 4th place starting position for the team, but sadly it was short lived. As Josh was making the pass for second place in the feature, the car he was passing pinched Josh down and in an effort to not hit the car he was passing he caught the infield tires with his left front. This in return broke the front axel and Josh dropped out of the event early. This resulted Josh with a 23rd place finish.
