Josh started the heat race from the tail of the field and got up to 7th. This forced him to run the B main. Josh started the B Main from the second position and fell into that position at the start. Josh was trying to pass the leader in turns 1 & 2 and something broke on the front end of the car on the exit of turn 2 turning the car sideways on the backstretch and collecting the wall. This ended our night with a destroyed race car. |

Josh started the heat race from the 8th position and raced his way into the feature by finishing 6th. Josh then started the heat race from the 17th position and moved up to the 10th position by the end of the feature. This was a very hard fought battle with the poor track conditions. A very deserved top ten finish. |

Saturday morning Josh and the Weller Racing team made a trip up to Fulton, New York to race at Fulton Speedway, with the ASCS Patriots Sprint Series. In the heat Josh started in 6th place and found his way to 5th when the checkered fell during the 8 lap race. Since ASCS using a points system, each driver gets a set amount of points for where the finish plus 1.5 points for every car they pass, Josh started the feature in the 14th position. There were two cautions during the 20 lap event, with the first one being after the completion of lap 1. At this point Josh had moved his #63, Phillips Garage, Wavetech Associates, sponsored sprinter to the 9th place. Josh was steadily moving through the field and made his was to 6th when the second caution flag flew around lap 13. On the restart Josh passed the car occupying 5th place to take over the position. As the final 7 laps wound down, Josh was making a move on the 4th place car, but unfortunately the checkered fell a few laps to early. |

After Saturday nights race at Fulton, Josh, the crew and the car made the 40 minute drive over to Rolling Wheels Speedway in Elbridge, NY. Sunday’s racing action got under way in the late afternoon, and the drivers were faced with a slick dusty track. In the heat Josh started 5th and with unfavorable track conditions found him with a 4th place finish. This then set Josh up with a 10th place starting spot in the 20 lap feature event. As the night went on the track conditions did not improve at all and the track actually got more slick and dusty. The feature event had four cautions, all spins due to the slick track conditions. At the end of the race when the checkered flag flew, Josh finished in the 11th position. |

Josh and the Weller Racing Team made the four hour trip up to the Black Rock Speedway, in Dundee, NY. On Friday night Josh start in the back of his heat on a track that wasn’t in the best condition for passing. Going by ASCS rules, the transfers to the features are decided by a certain amount of points given per your finishing spot in the heat races and how many cars you pass. When all the heat races were in the books, it was determined that Josh missed the feature race cut off by two positions. This then set Josh up for a front row starting spot in one of the two B-Mains held that night. At the start of the B-Main Josh jumped out to an early lead and easily won the race. Winning this race gave Josh a starting spot in the feature. With a few cautions and a red flag, Josh finished Friday nights show with a 13th place finish. |

Josh once again started in the back of the feature. With slightly better track conditions during the early portion of the night, Josh grabbed the last starting spot for the 30 lap feature event. Once the feature rolled around, the track conditions once again started to decline. The track began to dry up, and became extremely dusty. With the track conditions limiting visibility, Josh hung on for a 15th place finish. |

After a couple days off, Josh and the team made the trip out to Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, PA. Josh had a good pull and started 2nd in his heat race event. As the heat race got underway Josh had a good start, but that was soon erased as there was a red flag on the first lap of the race. After the accident scene was closed up, Josh once again was on the go falling in line behind the pole sitter. Josh finished the heat race in the 2nd position, which once again got him a starting spot in the feature. After the checkered fell on lap 25, Josh was credited with a 12th place finish. |

Josh had an excellent draw for his heat race position and started on the pole. Josh lead the race from green to checkered and was given credit for the heat race win. Winning his heat race also gave Josh a chance to be in the 5 lap dash, which is based off of the top 6 drivers in heat race points. At the end of lap 5, Josh was in the 5th position, which was also where he would start the feature event that night. Josh raced into the third position and was challenging for the 2nd position when a failed slide job let the 4th place car of Jason Johnson by. A tangle between the 2nd an 3rd place cars then moved Josh up to 2nd. Josh ran a strong race to finish in the 2nd position ahead of Gary Wright. Josh’s 2nd place finished locked him into a top six starting spot for Saturday night’s event that was unfortunately rained out. |

Wednesday night, Josh and the team took off the wing for Josh’s first ever wingless race at Grandview Speedway, Bechtelsville, PA. Josh started out the night by timing 27th out of 33 cars for the USAC sanctioned race. Having a 32 car invert for the heat races, this placed Josh on the outside pole in his heat race. Getting a good jump out of turn 4 on the start, Josh passed the pole sitter and took over the top position. Josh led the first three laps of the heat race, until a caution bunched up the field, which made way to give the USAC regulars a chance to race Josh for the lead. By the fifth lap, Josh had fallen back to the third position (racing against 410ci engines, where as Josh only has a 360ci). Josh held on to the 3rd position for the remainder of the race, and was the only 360 sprinter to make the twenty-two car field. Going back on times, Josh started 21st in the feature event. He with stood a few cautions and many red flag periods to get himself a 12th place finish. It was a great showing for Josh and the Weller Racing team at the first ever wingless race. |

Thursday brought Josh and the team out for a local car show, in which Josh participates nearly every year. Josh’s car, truck and trailer were one of the attractions at the Lyons, PA show. Also in attendance was NASCAR Nextel Cup driver, Kyle Busch. After Kyle put in his autograph time, he came around and visited with the local drivers supporting the show. Kyle stopped by the number 63, checked it out and climbed in the driver’s seat. Kyle was impressed by the car and many of its features.

OUT |
Josh and the team made the trip to the famous Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA. A night that was to host a full show of 410’s and 360’s (URC) racing was sadly rained out after the URC sprinters finished their time trials. It has not yet been decided if times from Friday night will be kept or thrown out for the make up show (August 3, 2007). At the completion of time trials, Josh had timed 9th out of forty plus cars. If the time trials are kept from the June 8th show, Josh will be starting 5th in the 5th heat. |

Josh started 6th in his heat race event, and by the completion of the 10th lap had found himself in a 4th place position. Five cars were transferred from each race, so Josh had qualified for the feature event. Qualifing 4th gave Josh a 15th place starting position in the feature event. Sadly Josh’s night took a bad turn because of an accident in the second turn on lap number one. Josh got caught up in another racers mishap and was forced to bring the number 63 into the pit area. The team with help from fellow races and crew members made the needed repairs to the car and got it back on the track. The reappearance was short lived as Josh retired from the track after another broken part side lined the car. The team made the needed repairs, but the feature event had already resumed and Josh was credited with a 25th place finish |

Saturdays trip to Grandveiw is one of Josh's favorite races of the year and for a very good reason.
Josh started the heat race from the 4th position and by the 5th lap had caught the leader and passed him and went on to win the heat race.
Josh then started the race from the Pole position and quickly established himself as the leader. With 2 red flags and several cautions Josh ran a strong race and WON the Feature. This is Josh's first feature win with URC.
Josh was also awarded the Likewise Construction Award Fast Time of the Night. |

Saturday after Josh and the team made their second trip of the season to New Jersey’s New Egypt Speedway. New Egypt has always been a nice track to Josh, and his luck continued there again this past weekend.
With the win and a top 10 in a previous race Josh earned a sixth place starting spot in the second heat event. Josh had dropped back into the 7th position on the original start, but began making his climb back into a top six qualifying position. By the time the checkered fell on lap ten, Josh had made his way into the 5th position, which gave him a starting spot in the feature event.
After some late night track preparation, the URC feature hit the track around 12:00 AM. Josh started the race in the 14th position and raced with some of URC’s best drivers, Curt Michael and Trevor Lewis. Through battles on the rough track and tough competition around him Josh brought the #63 home in the 10th place. That gave Josh his 5th top 10 finish of 2007. |

Although Josh only brought home a 22nd place finish, he was once again the only 360ci to make the 410ci feature and did a great job doing so. The evening started off with time trials and Josh timed twenty-fourth out of thirty-two cars, timing faster than several 410 sprinters. With four heats and a twenty car invert, Josh started the #63 in the 6th position. After an early race caution Josh found himself in the 5th position and managed to stay there for the remainder of the race to grab him a qualified position in the nights feature event. Going back on time trials to line up the feature event, Josh found himself in the 22nd position. Josh raced with the best of the PA Posse and was able to earn a respectable 22nd place finish, with an extremely under powered car. It was another great night and good show for Josh and the team. |
